What is A Focus Track?

A Focus Track is a series of connected Focus Classes designed to help students build a broader skill set over time.

Rather than focusing on a single topic, Tracks guide students through multiple areas of production discipline in a structured sequence. Each class builds upon the last, helping students develop deeper understanding and confidence through consistent instruction and practice.

The Five Core Tracks

SBMA’s curriculum is organized into five Core Tracks. Each Track combines three Focus Classes that work together to explore one area of music production in greater depth.

Core Tracks are offered one at a time throughout each season in a planned sequence. Rather than choosing from every Track at once, students progress through the curriculum in the order each Track is released, allowing every skill to build naturally on the one before it.

Instead of jumping between unrelated topics, students follow a clear learning path that strengthens their understanding of music production one discipline at a time.
